Tribune of European filmmakers sign letter of support in regards to Copyright Directive

20 February 2018

The Tribune of European Filmmakers has signed a letter in support of the proposals in the draft Copyright Directive, describing this as a “unique opportunity to ensure that authors earn fair, proportional and inalienable remuneration”. The letter also emphasises the Tribune’s support for “fighting piracy” and “enhancing authors’ rights”, which they believe can be guaranteed through a fair remuneration mechanism in the proposed Copyright Directive.
