NGO’s submit open letter to EU Parliament requesting deletion of Article 13

A further open letter has been submitted to the European Parliament in respect of Article 13 of the Copyright Directive. Signed by over 50 NGO’s (including Electronic Frontier Foundation, Communia and OpenMedia), the open letter requests the entire deletion of Article 13 stating that to implement this would lead to “excessive filtering and deletion of content, while at the same time constantly monitoring users’ activity online”.
