
A number of CREATe researchers will be presenting at two major conferences in September, which can both be accessed online this year:

SLS Conference
The 111th Annual Conference of the Society of Legal Scholars will be virtually hosted by the University of Exeter and takes place online from Tuesday 1 September until early afternoon on Friday 4 September. There is no specific theme this year, with 28 subject sections in parallel sessions. Registration information can be found here and the full programme is available here.
The following CREATe researchers will be presenting:
- Amy Thomas on 1 September in the 13:00 – 14:30 ‘Intellectual Property – Central Question in Copyright Law’ session
- Jie Liu on 2 September in the 13:15 – 15:00 PhD parallel session
- Methinee Suwannakit on 3 September in the 13:30 – 15:00 ‘Torts’ session
- Zihao Li on 3 September, 13:30 – 15:00 in the ‘Cyber Law – Data Protection’ session
EPIP 2020
This year’s EPIP Conference is hosted online by the EPIP Association in a reduced format, and will run on 9 -11 September from 2pm to 5:05pm Central European Summer Time (CEST) each day (1pm to 4.05 pm in GMT +1 / British Summer Time). The session on Platform Regulation and the EU Single Market (9 September, CEST: 17:20 – 18:25) will be chaired by CREATe’s Director Martin Kretschmer with CREATe Deputy Director Philip Schlesinger as one of the participants. The program also includes a number of investigators who are part of the wider CREATe Faculty – Nicola Searle, Estelle Derclaye and CREATe Fellow Georg von Graevenitz.
