CREATe Festival Highly Commended for Innovation in Public Engagement

By 11 October 2016No Comments

CREATe is delighted to have been recognised  at the University of Glasgow’s Public Engagement Awards. In a presentation at the Knowledge Exchange Conference in the Kelvin Hall on 6th October, the Festival team was Highly Commended in the Wellcome Trust Institutional Strategic Support Fund award for Innovation in Public Engagement:

“The judges also wanted to recognise the achievements of the Create Festival from the School of Law and want to Highly Commend Martin Kretschmer and team for their work.”

The CREATe Festival was a day of findings from the CREATe research programme, presented at RSA House, London. The audience for the Festival was the digital creative industry, policy makers, the legal profession, the arts sector and academic funders, as well as University researchers and academics. The Festival was partnered with London Technology Week, a festival of events taking place throughout London that celebrates and connects innovators from leading R&D centres, tech businesses, universities and specialist hubs. A legacy report was launched on the eve of the Festival, detailing the impact of CREATe’s research on society, industry and policy. The report can be downloaded here.
