Between 4-7 July 2024, CREATe are delighted to attend the 19th annual conference of ASCOLA, the Academic Society for Competition Law, in Würzburg, Germany, convened by Professor Florian Bien and Dr Björn Christian Becker, Law Faculty of Julius-Maximilians-Universität. The conference brings together about 120 scholars of competition law, economics and policy from all over the world.

CREATe contributions are clustered on Friday, 5 July. In the morning, Magali Eben and Matteo Frigeri address ‘Dysfunctional Equivalence? A Competition Law Analysis of the eLending Market’, while in the afternoon, Stavros Makris will present ‘A Political Economy Approach to Competition Law? The Everlasting Legacy of Adam Smith ‘. You can also find Magali discharging her duties as member of the ASCOLA executive committee at the general assembly, on Saturday, 6 July. The full program of the ASCOLA conference is available here.
