Within this theme, we investigate empirically user attitudes to unlawful consumption and to new legal services within the music industry, as well as within the less-surveyed e-publishing and games industries. We also are developing data mining tools to streamline the re-use of public sector and social media content, as well as creating a one-stop website for social network policies on user-generated digital assets. At present, research within this theme is being carried out across five projects:
- Sharing, Streaming, Stealing or Socialising?
- A Field Experiment on the Determinants of Unlawful File Sharing
- User Generated Cultural Content (UGCC): Users as Creators, “Walled Gardens”, and the Preservation and Bequeathing of Novel Digital Cultural Assets
- Data mining
- Digital Archive of the History of Intellectual Property Law
