Open letter submitted to Axel Voss by European organisations

24 April 2017

56 European organisations have submitted an open letter to the rapporteur for the Copyright Directive, Axel Voss. The letter details concerns regarding the proposed “press publisher’s right” in Article 11 of the Directive, stating that this will “lead to massive collateral damage and a lose-lose situation for everybody involved”. The letter urges MEP’s to delete the current Article 11 and replace this with a legal presumption.
