Further postponement of final vote on the Copyright Directive

9 October 2017

The anticipated date of the vote on the agreed final language of the Copyright Directive has been postponed past the 10 October 2017 deadline. Originally scheduled for late September 2017, the bill is now unlikely to progress until the next JURI session, scheduled for 7 December 2017.  Suspected reasons for the delay include the 996 suggested amendments to the original September 2016 draft.
