By 16 July 2013No Comments

ECLAP, the European Collected Library of Artistic Performance released its IPR and Business Models for Performing Arts Content – Best Practice Recommendations last month. The report is intended to assist performing arts organisations to provide online access to content. Core topics include the issue of rights clearance for performing arts content, the range of business and revenue models for digital performing rights arts content, and corresponding best practice recommendations regarding sustainability.

In the report, content is defined as: the digital object (audio, video, image, text) combined with the information about this object (metadata). Furthermore, it is assumed that the content provider fully owns the rights to the metadata. This report is based on the contribution and feedback collected from both within the ECLAP consortium as well as from external experts and institutions, through interviews, workshops and surveys.

The report can be downloaded from the ECLAP website.
