Edwards Speaks at Panel on Copyright, Copyleft and Copywrong

Professor Lilian Edwards, Deputy Director of CREATe, spoke for CREATe at a panel entitled Copyright, Copyleft, Copywrong?
at Open City Docs fest , an open documentary festival, in London on 21 June 2013. Panelists included Roly Keating (Chief Executive of the British Library), Peter Bradwell (Open Rights Group), Paul Gerhardt (Archives for Creativity and Film and Sound Think Tank, JISC), John Archer (Hopscotch Films, Producer of History of Cinema) and Haidy Geismar (Anthropologist, UCL) and a lively discussion centred on the difficulties for documentary film and TV makers of clearing rights for uses of clips and re-use of major archives such as the BBC’s.
